Associate and Architectural Designer Jacob Hedaya joined ODA in 2018 after graduating from Pratt Institute with a Bachelors in Architecture. His thesis exploring the role of big tech in the urban environment of New York City was awarded with distinction. Jacob participates in a range of projects on a variety of scale and phases, focusing on competitions as well as concept design. He sees architecture as a way to explore curiosities in the urban condition; a craft at the confluence of social, urban, and ecological issues. Jacob comes to the office with a multidisciplinary background spanning fashion and industrial design, as well as digital fabrication; he uses his expertise in additive manufacturing to manage the model shop and produce presentation models. Jacob participated in the winning competition entry for the MAZD territory, as well as the concept design for the masterplan at Innovation QNS in Astoria, NY.
