Kai Liao

Kai is an architectural designer driven by the ambition to elevate how people live and work through design and craft. Born in southern China, she earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and her Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Prior to joining ODA, Kai worked at SOM’s New York office, contributing to residential and commercial projects across a range of scales and geographies. She is motivated by transforming ideas into built reality, translating design vision into spaces that are both thoughtful and enduring.
