Jianyu Zheng

Jianyu Zheng is an architectural designer whose work explores spatial experience through light, materiality, and perception. Originally from China, he earned his Bachelor of Architecture before moving to New York in 2023 to pursue a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design at Columbia University GSAPP, where he studied under Steven Holl.

Prior to joining ODA, Jianyu gained professional experience in New York, contributing to projects across multiple phases and developing a strong understanding of how design translates into built form. His work is driven by narrative and concept, with a focus on translating ideas into clear spatial strategies shaped by atmosphere, sequence, and human experience.

Outside the studio, Jianyu enjoys traveling and playing basketball.
