Landscape Designer Diana Tao is a native New Yorker and is interested in the social dynamics of public spaces, and in revitalizing urban culture in her hometown. Her experience in landscape architecture comes from managing and contributing to the design of public urban spaces, waterfront parks, affordable housing developments, and master plans across New York City. These projects include Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency, Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYCHA Playspace Master Plan, and Astoria Anchor Park and Master Plan. Prior to joining ODA as a Landscape Designer, she worked at Nancy Owens Studio, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, and AECOM NY.
Diana studied Architecture and Urbanism as well as East Asian Language and Literature at Smith College and holds a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is able to leverage her background in both architecture and landscape to create high-quality designs and well-loved spaces.
